The man behind the guitar...
I'm Adam McGuinn, a York-based session guitarist and guitar tutor. I teach beginners through advanced players, shaping lessons around the music you want to play, technique, improvisation, theory and grades where useful. I can help you prepare for guitar grades 1–8, build confidence for live performance or simply enjoy playing more. Lessons are tailored to your goals and pace.

Above all, I ensure that all my sessions are adapted to the individual needs of the student. Some students attend my sessions as a means to use their music time to detach from the strains and stresses of everyday life. In our sessions we will work together so that you get the most out of each session and, fundamentally, walk out of our lessons feeling more enlightened and enriched than when you walked in.

Online Tutorials
You can get some free tips and advice by following me on social media where I upload video tutorials. I have also released my first online course guitar course that covers all the essentials that you need to develop and improve your rock rhythm guitar skills. The course includes custom backing tracks, tabs and in-depth video tutorials.
